Dikuno Community Development Trust
Communities driving their own future
Lasting change is driven by communities, not only delivered to them. Across Limpopo and North West, Dikuno partners with residents, traditional leaders and local government to shape education, health, digital inclusion and community infrastructure, so that today’s investments turn into resilience for generations to come.

Who is Dikuno?
Dikuno Tša Sechaba Community Development Trust was established in 2012 as a Public Benefit Organisation, part of the Alchemy family of trusts created through Valterra Platinum’s R3.5 billion community empowerment and shared ownership initiative.
We serve communities around the Amandelbult Complex across Limpopo and North West, and we work to make sure that value created today builds lasting opportunity for generations to come.
About Dikuno
Our purpose
To contribute towards sustainable community upliftment through mining, and beyond mining.
We partner with communities to address the challenges they face, and we build the partnerships that bring skills, funding and expertise into the places that need them most.
Our approach

Our work
From a purpose-built Grade R classroom at Mantserre Primary School to life-saving equipment in Thabazimbi’s maternity wards, our investments are designed to leave communities better equipped to create opportunity for themselves.
Projects are chosen for the long-term difference they make, not only for what they build.
See our projectsOur three key pillars

Impact by Design
Development should be intentional, evidence-based and focused on long-term outcomes rather than short-term outputs. We look at the difference our investments make over time, not only at how many projects we complete.

Resource Mobilisation
Sustainable development grows when organisations, institutions and communities draw on their collective strengths. We build partnerships that bring funding, knowledge, expertise and capacity into our benefit area.

Stakeholder Engagement
Communities stay at the centre of decisions, planning and delivery. We work with traditional leadership, municipalities, government departments, civil society, development partners and the private sector.
