At the Northam ICT Centre, community members use computers to draft CVs, complete online applications and reach digital services that were previously hard to access. If you cannot visit the Centre, these short checklists are a good place to start.
A one-page CV checklist
- Your name, phone number and email address at the top
- A two- or three-line profile that says who you are and what work you are looking for
- Your education, with the most recent first
- Work experience or volunteering, with what you did and what you achieved
- Skills, including languages and computer skills
- Two references who have agreed to speak for you
Before you apply online
- Save your CV as a PDF and give the file a clear name, such as your name and surname
- Use an email address that sounds professional
- Keep certified copies of your ID and qualifications ready to upload
- Read the advert closely and note the closing date
