We are a development agency facilitating the building and empowerment of rural communities through strategic social investment, resource mobilisation as well as lobbying and advocacy.
Who We Are
The Dikuno Tša Sechaba Community Development Trust was formed after Anglo American Platinum launched Alchemy, a community development and empowerment transaction, in 2011, with the aim of promoting long-term sustainable development in its host communities.
Our Work
Having served both Limpopo and North West, our work features the upgraded and enlarged Ipopeng Baphalane Clinic, which primarily serves the people of Mantserre, a host community of the Amandelbult Complex.
Where We Work
In alignment with the Alchemy principle of non-partisanship, the Dikuno Trust does not serve defined local communities. Its primary work is focused on an Alchemy Benefit Area. The boundary of the Alchemy Benefit Area (ABA) encloses communities and settlements 15km or less from the mine lease boundary.
